What to Expect on a Sunset Cruise
A sunset cruise typically departs in the late afternoon — usually between 4:00 and 5:30 PM depending on the season — so you are on the water as the sun drops toward the horizon. Most trips last around two hours and set sail from Grand Baie on the north coast or Tamarin and Black River on the west coast.
You will be welcomed aboard with a drink and light canapés, while chilled music sets the mood. As the sky shifts from blue to gold, orange, and pink, the catamaran cruises slowly along the coastline — past Coin de Mire in the north or beneath the dramatic silhouette of Le Morne in the west.
